Basic Training for ships using Fuels covered within the IGF Code - Course ID: 5311
Course Aims
This course is designed to give seafarers the education and training required to carry out shipboard operations on vessels using field covered within the IGF Code. It is for those seafarers responsible for designated safety duties associated with the care, use, or emergency response to the fuel on board ships subject to the IGF code, and to gain the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to carry out safe and effective operation of ships powered by fuels covered within the IGF Code. The specifications covers Tables A-V/3-1 of Regulation V/3 from the STCW Code for the knowledge, understanding and proficiency required to competently operate ships powered by these fuels. Students must have completed the Basic safety training before attending this course.
